Kish was officially launched in Tarzana, California on December 15th, 2013 a couple of years after Juan Francisco, the general manager of FECCEG, a Federation of coffee grower cooperatives in Guatemala, reached out to our Co-Founder and CEO Iczel Santizo. Kish was conceived by organized smallholder coffee farmers in Guatemala. However, it tooks years to develop, and bring to fruition. As we enter 2014, Kish is well on the way to assuming a unique niche in the US marketplace. We're a grassroots development movement engaged in Creating Opportunity Together through the power of collaboration bridging the gap between growers and coffee lovers in the US. We believe our world is stronger when everyone is self-sufficient and has the means to stand on their own two feet. Kish believes in a completely transparent value chain. In this new model we value everyone's contribution.
