Ground Up Soil LLC generates OMRI listed plant based worm castings with a guaranteed analysis of: N 3% P 1.5% K 0.3% and are listed with Washington and Oregon Department of Agriculture as fertilizers. Spent mushroom blocks from a USDA certified organic mushroom farm are used to bed the worms and are carefully handled to avoid any opportunity for contamination. The castings can be screened to 1/8-1/4 fine. Production of the plant based worm castings is done in a dedicated facility. Our system utilizes 48x48 plastic industrial bins and we generate 1500 cubic yards or more per year. At the time of writing Ground Up Soil we are testing animal based castings to secure the OMRI listing. A second facility, separate from plant based operations, will generate 1500 cubic yards of animal based worm castings or more per year. The unique aspect of Ground Up Soil animal based worm castings comes from our process. We will used completed compost for bedding and not expose the worms to raw or fresh manure. Ground Up Soil oldest product is our OMRI listed animal based Thermal supreme screened compost and we have the capacity for 2800 cubic yards or more per year. Currently we are testing samples to get listing with OMRI for animal based worm castings. Our business is located on a TILTH certified Organic farm in the center of the Willamette Valley in Oregon. Ground Up Soil products are farm produced and farm proven. We load large trucks with pallets or poly-supersacks. Ground Up bags our own product line in 1.5 cubic foot bags of compost, and castings in 8 quart and 1.0 cubic foot bags. Ground Up Soil could custom bag castings, compost, or a blend. Our facilities are permitted with Oregon DEQ. Testing is done with A&L Western Ag Labs and SoilFood Web.
