NEXT/Walloon Ministry for Economy

NEXT, the circular economy programme of NEXT _ SRIW, has been defined as the new cross- sectoral focus of the industrial policy in Wallonia. With this mission, NEXT - SRIW addresses a wide variety of possible actions within the implementation of circular economy principles in Wallonia. NEXT - SRIW is in charge of deploying circular economy principles throughout the Walloon economy. This includes awareness-raising events and training, as well as group and individual work around specific topics and sector activities. NEXT - SRIW aims to be a front- runner in the development of a circular economy throughout the industrial network of Wallonia, aiming to help the companies in its region to develop concrete strategic actions. NEXT - SRIW has a mission to develop and to support concrete industrial projects that create substantial added value for the region and for the companies through a transition towards more circular approaches. In order to achieve these goals, NEXT - SRIW needs to be very much aware of the potential of existing technological and non-technological innovations presented by the member companies of the CE100, and to be inspired by the discussions on hot topics that need to be addressed in order to actually implement circular economy principles. NEXT - SRIW also aims to build strong relationships through effective networking.
