Draftec, an independent private-owned engineering and manufacturing business by Martijn Boone and Martijn Holtkamp, was founded by the former in 2009. Since the beginning, the company has grown into a specialized system integrator and manufacturer of custom-designed mission equipment and systems for heavy industries. The in-house knowledge is highly developed into the fields of mechanical design, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and control system software and automation.

By 2010 the company was located at an office with a small workshop in Middelburg.
In 2016 the company entered a brand new head office and started increasing their production facilities close around.

Draftec has developed itself over the past decade from then till now into a high-end specialist within the field of heavy onshore and offshore works.
